The Masía Aldámar Wedding

Designing for couples to designing my own wedding has been an experience of one of a kind.

Our English wedding took place in ‘Masía Aldámar, a charming Valencian farmhouse, nestled amidst orange orchards. For as long as I can remember, I have dreamt of exchanging vows in an intimate home setting. The moment we stepped into this Masía, we fell in love. Its white facade adorned with deep green wooden doors and windows provided the perfect canvas for us. To enhance it, Raquel from De Bohemia, crafted a breath-taking cloud with fuchsia bougainvillaea and pink roses. Throughout the ceremony, we felt like we were under cloud 9.

For our ceremony, my sister, Ania, filled the aisle with petals moments before I walked down accompanied by my brother, Yash. Our celebrant, Karen said some beautiful words and gave our guests a glimpse into our journey so far and what we love about each other. After our vows, our family and friends showered us with petals, whilst Namir and I took a cute dip and our amazing photographer Juanlu Rojano and videography team The Wedding Filmer captured this moment beautifully.

Following the ceremony, our guests moved into the courtyard for the cocktail reception and enjoyed a Flamenco show, accompanied by live Spanish guitar and Cajon music. Namir and I surprised everyone with our first dance, accompanied by a breathtaking fireworks display. It was a moment that transformed our wedding into an unexpected fairy tale.

Our siblings and close friends gave heartfelt speeches during the dinner and to end the celebrations, we moved into the Masía’s own chapel, where DJ Jay Weather from Mumbai made us dance the night away.
